Currently we've been editting with iMovie 08, as it's what came with my Mac but after trying, and trying and trying, it's come to my attention that there is no option to speed up, or slow down footage. I don't know why Apple have done this, but after reading different forums, it appears that i'm right - you really can't do this.
After speaking to Jack Reid, a friend of mine that also studies media, he advised me to buy the new iLife package that'll give me iMovie 09, the software he's using which he says is very good. However this is £45.00, and i'm not sure wether I really want to be spending that much money, but we're going to have problems if I don't.
